colors

colors

A Poem by ruth
"

kind of like when you describe colors to a blind person.

"

yellow,

a blazing sun,

a fresh blooming sunflower,

crisp air of the summer winds,

when you run your fingers through her hair and it’s just a bit warm from the heat,

the soft blanket under you while staring into the sky,

yellow.

brown,

the glow of her skin,

the breeze of the autumn air,

the hat she wears as the weather cools,

brown.

maroon,

glow of the sunset at the perfect time,

just as it get covered by a few clouds and the rays spray all throughout,

the roasting of the chestnut in the blazing fire when the cold creeps in,

maroon.

black,

darkness in a light place,

the continual turning of the record,

a scratch on the blackboard,

the yells next to your room,

black.
