Today, tonight and tomorrow.

Just a random thought.

Oh today I thought of the thought,
Will I ever be loved like I thought?

Oh today I wonder about the love,
Will I ever be loved the way I loved?

Today I wonder of the wonderland,
Will I be able to hold your hand?

Today I imagine to be with you,
Will I ever be 'The one' for you?

Tonight I feel the flame for us,
Will you be the one to light it up?

Tonight I want to watch stars with you,
Will I ever be the secret keeper for you?

Tonight I want to dance to song you sang,
Will I ever be the one to be your smile?

Tonight I want to walk with the one I love,
Will I ever be the one to hold you close enough?

Even tomorrow I want to wake up with you,
Will I ever be the one I sing lullaby to?

Tomorrow I want you in my life,
Will I ever be the one for your heart skips a beat?

Tomorrow I want a future for us,
Will I be the one to marry you?

All I want is you,
For today, tonight and tomorrow, rest of my life with you.

I think this is a great poem on the idea of love, there are thousands of poems about love but in the end it really is just a question we ask ourselves everyday. Even when we think we are loved, we wonder if it's real, if they are faking or are too embarrassed to tell us they don't like us anymore.

this is a beautiful poem, sabinn. it encapsulates the whirlwind of thoughts that never go away when those feelings ignite themselves. this poem is sweet, but the pining beneath those words add a painful sort of bitterness that i'm sure too many are familiar with.

I am a sucker for love poetry. This was a simple but pleasant read, "The question: Will you love me?" You can feel the heart of the poet just chasing her potential lover, hoping that he too would reciprocate. You also get the sense that the character or voice really pines for her potential lover's participation. She yearns for him to acknowledge her, to be that flame lit together, for him to be her guide, her champion. All in all a nice poem: I enjoyed it.
