Goodnight Dreamers

Goodnight Dreamers

A Poem by Sadiesmiles

Moonbeams dancing
Across the floor
Dreams are scattered there no more.
Crushed by hate, and words unkind,
Picked apart by the sneering mind

Dashed hopes all too common,
Wounds too deep to revive,
The struggle to keep a dying faith alive.

Goodnight oh ye dreamers,
Those who still believe,
In the magic of wishing,
that stars will bring reprieve.

Good luck in your waking,
Awaits a battle long and grey,
To keep those delicate dreams from breaking.
Like the dawn, not far away.

Hey there! You're poem is lovely. However, the format could've been so much stronger. It's hard to rhyme in poetry and it be sophisticated. I would recommend that you pick and choose places to rhyme where it would better your audience's understanding of the poem. Also, try to incorporate more literay devices, get creative. You have so much talent. Keep it up! ~J

I enjoyed the poem. Had the feel of honest sense and thoughts.
"Goodnight oh ye dreamers,
Those who still believe,
In the magic of wishing,
that stars will bring reprieve. "
Sometime good to be a dreamer. Old world leave us with nightmares only sometime. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
