Brand New Pillows

Brand New Pillows

A Poem by Saint No-One
"

An older poem, written when my brother left for college.

"
Brand new pillows,
Cellophane wrapped,
Seem to say goodbye
In a way that
A person never could.
They are crisp,
And white,
And final,
Like a suicide note.
A message that says
To everyone who reads it,
Who looks upon it,
"I'm leaving."
"And I'm not taking
your world with me.
This is my time.
My world."
"This is the end."
Fresh white pillows,
Cellophane wrapped.
Brake lights in the distance.
So this is goodbye?
I never knew you.

About
I am an artist, but my mind doesn't work the way I want it to. One day I'll be, washing myself with handsoap in a public bathroom, thinking how did I get here? Where the hell am I? more..
