We did not write poetry

We did not write poetry

A Poem by Birdman Father Yunus Kokan

We did not write poetry, we could not write
But Biiznillah poems write us,
We did not write martyrdom, we could not write,
By the grace of the truth, the witnesses write us.

Thank you, my heart senses with your grace,
Travels in the language of the oppressed,
The oppressors oppress the whole,
These words travel the world.

From Gaziantep to Turkey
From Turkey to the whole world,
Hail to those who hear,
These words travel the world.

From the heart of the capital,
To my body,
To those who found us,
These words travel the world.

What does Abdal Yunus do?
He tells with tears,
Some listens, some laughs,
These words travel the world.

It is said, it cannot be said,
He can't say no!
He can't give you secrets,
These words travel the world.
