the lady , brain

i have written this poem about our brain but personified as as a woman

This lady, brain' job is  to always look gorgeous

afterall she is the brand embassador of my existence 

But

This brain jams when given ample rest

Oh god, she grows a nasty flab

The brain needs workout

To maintain the curves and attract the crowd

 

Once she stops gymming

She eats all crap

Containing high Trans fat

 

People then call her a fool

demotivating her to the extent 

that thenshe pouts  and over dresses unnecessarily

People taking it as a gaudy accessory

and mock her for her fashion sense 

 

 

 

So better be a strict boss and command  the brain to  workout regularly

And let her retain her glamour 

So the world may clamor

For her beauty and

Then she will always be on her duty

Wisely.

. And your brand will become a succesful tycoon

my honest comment is that i love the personification...and also the idea that the brain is beautiful...and women can be most sexy because of their brains moreso than physical looks...

Indeed, the brain needs regular workouts too. In fact, more so, keeping in tandem with today's competitive world where the rules of the game change in minutes. So what choices does a woman have? More so, when being clever is also about being cool and...SEXY!!!

Personification as a tool can be used for highly effective purposes. I liked the overall humorous tone of the poem, and the suggestion for all of us to use our brains. But as a doctor, I just can't get over the "poor metabolism" part. The brain has one of the highest rates of metabolism in the body. But let me stop being pedantic, and see this poem for what it is - a playful comment on the value of exercising our brains regularly :)
