Perfect Solitude

Perfect Solitude

A Poem by Sami Khalil
"

Lyrics to a song to be sung...

            Perfect Solitude
                                 By Sami Khalil

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I want to invite you
Even if you're uncomfortable
To my perfect solitude.

I want you to relax
Take a deep breath
Mind you this imprisonment
We are being glued.

Would you happen to know
Or have you overlooked
The backgrounds we share
The velvet thoughts
The adverts fading away
Into the hypnotic mood.

Lady of grace
Of brighter mornings
Of mislabeled nights
I want to remake songs
Where everything is
Merely a cover
A muffled substitute.

I want to lead in love
Keeping it low key
Where every prelude
Is a quiet rendition
To these two hearts
In perfect gratitude.

I want to invite you
When you are comfortable
To my perfect solitude
To my perfect solitude...

I was once told that solitude is to be destitute of Love, or the one you love; I was much younger then and I didn't believe. Now, with all these years on my shoulders, I'm a believer..
Now to your profound poetry; the perfect solitude would only be not that, but perfection with the one that makes you whole.... Lovely, and apologies for going off in at tangent

Solitude is tranquility, a dimension with no chains on the passions and thoughts...where they are seen in their most truest image.
The tone of the poem is so soft and mesmerizing, yet strong enough to consume you in...into the world of Solitude it paints. The iteration of those lines makes that very impact.
Beautiful write. Thanks for sharing.

This is really good work Sami. I really like the third stanza as it describes the ways in which everything around can fade like and illusion. Its very distinguished and I also loved the fifth stanza where you musical significance as inspirations for comparison. Very refined style you have there. Keep up the good work.

Feels like there is 'Perfect Solitude' in love. This reads very beautifully - almost hypnotic or mesmerizing. It lulls you into a peaceful state where thoughts of love would indeed be welcomed. Thanks for sharing this.

I got the feeling of early Dylan (Bob not Thomas) - e.g. Lay Lady Lay.
Soft acoustic finger picked - James Taylor even.
I would like to hear you perform it. Excellent refrain too Sami Khalil

I love this! The last two stanzas were my absolute favorite. I admire every word choice and the flow was smooth and continuous. Great job!
