Sage And Saga/By Sami Khalil

A free verse sonnet. Does not follow any meter. Just my ears.

Romance at any mature age and level of wisdom...In the mood for the classics

==============================================================================================
Declareth I, declareth to thee manifest love
With runnels of gentle sweat running forth
And countenance of our meandering grace
Pouring of honeyed words, proving a worth.
This whip-lashed susurration never abates
Vividly dreams becometh a master witness
The panoply of resilience and florid enigma
Unsoiling the sunsets of life and its fitness.
Declareth I with veneration and delectation
I love thee with truest of perplexed sagacity
Thine beauty filleth mine tremulous heart
By pervading affection, thine own vivacity.
Declareth I whilst surreal skies may conjure
Days ahead when weary would fain treasure.

I must admit when I read your work, I am quite mesmerized by your ability to tie such deep changes in rhyme tone together with such... Sage-like word choice... Beautifully woven, and immensely satisfying to read on an almost carnal level. Masterfully penned...

Romantic and medevial in character. A troubadour song from Occitania in every way..

Another well crafted piece. It is not everyday that I come across this quality of work.
To be honest, I personally was derailed on a few places, but that did not suspend the flow of delight.
Frankly, my writing isn't any better; I've always been more of a reader.
Thank you

Wow, Sami! A fantastic write!

I am a big fan of the classic Elizabethan style, and your poem has that in spades.

Excellent vocabulary and very romantic in the tradition of a great Shakespeare sonnet.

Very well done!

A tremulous heart sounds like a condition I'd gladly endure to be in such a loving and timeless union.
Poetry at it's best Sami.

Brings us back to the time of romanticism and ode to Shakespeare. Very gentle, dulcet, and loving.

Loving wisely, one loves everlastingly, isn't that so; of the million shades of love, those that you picked to paint yours in word are of the richest and truest. I admire you style.
