Brave It…                      Sami Khalil

I braved wars, rains and high seas

The Western and Eastern fronts

Language barriers

The veils that cloud many moons

The heart quivers,

Awakening at night

The speed of sound,

The light of reason

Questions and exclamation marks

Responses and rejections

The casual, the formal

The radiance of your star

The endless search

Between…

Cradles and graves

I braved

loving you!

Love has no eyes and brain but has heart, brain reasons everything, weigh everything, compare everything and then may or may not make a move, heart in the contrary just follow which is bravery but to materialistic world they may call what a moron!, poem succeeded in projecting the idea when some one truly loves another no universe, humans, language, differences in opinion or anything in his way does not matter as he or she brave enough to love truly, well done.

You put things in great perspective. Thank you for all you say and do, Linda.
And yes Bravery comes into play when a heart is exposed. The vulnerability shared with one whom you thought you could trust or Hey, you may trust still. But being Brave.... In Love you must be or else you would never experience that depth of emotion. Well done a fabulous piece, dear Poet.

Thank you so much Lily for this lovely review.
A true soldier coming home
to someone special.
Nice & simple with the technique--being clear and concise in the wordsmith of it.

You are a rising talent and friend. Truly thanks, Josie.
'The veils that cloud many moons.. '

Your 'newer style' of writing: the simpler phrasing, the gentler vocabulary, has raised you from more than fine poet to a writer who touches both heart and mind with passion and - in this poem, courage and patience.

The princess of this site with her wonderful and much appreciated visit. Truly honoring.
Sometimes the easiest thing to do seems the hardest thing to do. To fling wide the shutters of the heart and allow yourself to soar the skies of love is the greatest reward. Even if you have a crash landing, the memory of the wind beneath your wings always lifts the spirit.

You are an example to behold and a talent to appreciate. Thank you so much Tony. Keep rising.
The comparison of bravery to many common concepts and ideas, sharing a bravery found in many things. Yet braving love seems to be the most courageous of all! Nice Sami.
