Gnawing

Gnawing

A Story by Samuel Pennell

When I was young, I worried constantly about whether I had too soft of a life. I worried that everyone around me was tougher than I was. Thoughts invaded my mind, and I worried constantly about it. My mind would gnaw on it and chew on it near constantly, as if there were something there to prove. And I felt totally alone in it.
