A little bit more

Sort of a prayer, more of just random poetry...something that came to mind about how I was feeling.

As I sit here daydreaming

I ask myself ,why?

And as if I could hear me

I answer, or at least I try

If this life for me is over

and I must go on ahead

I'd like more time to take my time

after all is done and said

If life has dealt the last hand

to me, a common girl

I'd like to have a say in it

before I leave this world

I only ask that I have the time

to mend many broken dreams

and find it in myself to cry

and scream if I feel the need

I need just a little bit more

I hope that you don't mind

I only ask you show mercy on me

just this one last time

I liked the rhythm you used, sorta mantra-like, or like a mellow chant. I have prayed similar words, or thought them, or begged them, yeah, I liked this.
