A Poem by Haruki

Throw back your hair; all I need is your smile.

A dram of this intoxicates the soul.

Better than the rich buttery rum grog;

Or the flowery distills of anise.

Even the lilacs are flush with envy.

The soft warm glow on your cheeks is like mead.

Whispered songs of love from breath of honey.

Threshold to the Inn of Seven Wonders,

A weary traveler knocks and enters.

His wounds are healed and refuge is taken.

    You gave him the jewel of the lotus

    Could he ever want another treasure?

This poem is pure and reminds me of a summer love long, long ago.
Something that could never be forgotten. There is a historical flow to this.
