Perception

Perception

A Poem by sansrity sinha

We believe what is shown;

Accept what is told.

Unaware of true facts,

We create stories of our own.

We reside in our room of thoughts,

Unknown from ground reality;

Just like the bits of clouds;

In the sky that extends till eternity.

It is perception that brings us closer

And it is the same that make us depart

Just like clouds,

Moving closer and apart.

Perception brings ambiguity;

Perception brings differences!

Can modulate circumstances;

Can hide truth and still look subtle…

Truth is always beyond

Away from rumors

Just like sun and the stars,

So close still so far!

I love your thought process here. Its all in the eyes and the minds of the person seeing and you bring it to life!

I love the 'reside in the room of thoughts'. Yes we all have a truth which could be so different from The truth.

Perceptions damage the relationships the most. I feel its the result of overthinking about a person or a situation. Somehow it damages everything... nicely written piece.. good one :)

All thoughts and ideas may be influenced by what's around us, but the final thought comes from within. We all see things in our own way as our minds all seem to be a bit different. Nice piece creating thoughtful pause.

Lovely poem so blunt and true. The surface covers all, but whats inside it says all just like a book.

There's truth in your words. We must look deeper than what we see on the surface or else we miss what is real and true.
