Seeking You, Always

Seeking You, Always

A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz

would i be filled with light
for You. would i drown myself
in the darkness for You.

would i seek reprieve
in the intricate root systems
of the soil at Your feet. Just
to know You, to breathe upon
Your soil, and grow beside You
as a sapling tree.

would i reach for the sky with You
and delve into the earth for You.
would i burst forth like the sun
through the clouds,
and filter across the world
for You.

oh, what I would do for You. the lengths
i would travel to fall
at Your feet.

the darkness can haunt me and the night
can plead for my gaze,
but i will fix my eyes upon You and
accept only the light
from Your face.

Kinda very fascinating. "Seeking You Always" sounds pretty suspenseful imagery that has its own way to capitalize things around. It's 'bout one love that's being lost & metaphor's lover's being craved to find him... no matter what. I like the plotting of your story. Great job!

Very well written poem. I like how you used the words to create a decent depiction. The last lines, the last stanza has a nice rhyming pattern (unlike the other ones) which provides an ending which stays in one's mind.

I know for some ten years or so I have associated your name with such haunting places of darkness and light, evoking an ambiance that transports the soul. So grateful you are in the world, dear poet.

As if you are looking for a higher force, a Creator. You want to have faith but you ask for an opportunity to understand and get to know 'You'...

Comes across as genuinely religious (in a good way).

Well done!

Nicely written. The way in which you relate the feelings with the nature is appreciable and the words are used in a brilliant manner. Especially loved the last stanza. Well Done!

Devotion, adoration, admiration, loyalty, love...all aimed at someone who's truly worthy of all the above.
I appreciate the emotion and sincere feeling in every line and the repetition of "You" has just the right effect.
Very nice, loved it. :)

I too am not sure what to say to give a balanced critic. I really enjoyed it. Love the deliberate capitalization of "you" and "your". :)
