Wake slap

Wake slap

A Poem by sara

Theres a girl I know
Who laughs when
She deems it safe to let loose
Who cries when
Monkeys fly, for its never safe
to let liquid diamonds down

She covers her screams and dagger filled eyes
with blank blinders
and gags of mild indifference
wadded so tightly in her throat
so no sound of hurt or dashed hope
can come out
Her life consists of overthought
Overplanned, controlled
Seconds that tick by and by
And amount to minutes that tock
In the same fashion until the
Days and weeks
of wasted life emerge and
Slap her

Until she realized she gave up
Before she started
