A Strong Woman

A Strong Woman

A Poem by sarahpixie

Sitting in the waiting room

Butterflies inside

In you I can

Always confide

My heart races

As I see your face

Your smile makes

My pain erase

You ask me how I am

I don’t want to speak

You know my heart

Is yours to always keep

In the same room

But you seem so far away

A tear slips down my cheek

For the things I cannot say

I yearn for your touch

Why can’t you see?

We could start a life

It could be you and me

You’re a strong woman

It’s easy to tell

The hard part is

I already fell

I can’t help but imagine

Your soft and gentle touch

I have to look away

It’s just too much

I’d love you more

Then anyone else could

I promise you this

You know that I would

I go weak in the knees

When you say my name

Because of you

My life won’t be the same

I give you a hug

That’s all I can do

Just know that

My love for you is true

Great poem. Really strong meaning and word choice, and you kept the rhyme up the whole time (which is not always easy) Welcome to Writer's Cafe. I cant wait to see what else you have to say! :) PS. Im giving you a top score for this one :)
