Eye-Openers

Eye-Openers

A Poem by Satish Verma
"

Can you contain it; the call,

"
Can you contain it;
the call,
one animal?

A baby hurt,
sometimes―
you enjoy.

The full moon was―
as poor as,
a church mouse.

Sitting in court
watching a
finch play with water.

I have to say each of these I saw seperately and each leaves the reader thinking, wondering as images are mixed and there is some discordant phrases.

My mind is blown. This was truly a brilliantly creative write. I’d say to the uncreative- this poem would seem simple and drab- but oh my! To the mind that thinks out of the box- this poem is right on point and written perfectly, and with such subtle depth
