Before my eyes, the game ended

Before my eyes, the game ended

A Poem by Savannah

Speeding down the highway, nothing left to lose

This is just a game with a big bottle of booze

You think you've got control of the wheel,

take a left and you'll feel everything you've never wanted to feel

Your life explodes before your eyes,

this could've been avoided, you realize

It was just one sip, but that's what they all say

It's your life that'll have to pay

Your mom and your dad, your sister and your brother, all of your friends

they'll have to face this dead end

Say goodbye to your future, say goodbye to your past

If only it wasn't your decisions that last

You'll think back to what made you do what you did

And you'll know that it was never worth the bid

Say goodbye to the memories, say goodbye to the sunrise

All of the reasons you wanted to drink were never worth this surprise

Take a breath as you watch your life fade so very far,

maybe next time you won't get in the car
