A Soul Beleaguered

A Soul Beleaguered

A Poem by Sayantani N

She learnt the language of silence
She understood the symphony of grief..
When his touch was far away from her
Caressing his own disposition…

She now gracefully grazes the tightrope..
With the smile he had once taught her.

Disfiguring the sweetness of his sublime Love,
That spread the aroma of her soul into the Night…
Now,
Raw repugnance towards Life she nurtures.

“Where are you? " , when she wails
Into the oblivion of the dead cold night..

With shattered hopes and naked tears…

Somewhere,
Another vein bleeds , profusely.
