once

once

A Poem by Rebeca Espadas
"

3/27/12

"
i woke up this morning
at 5:54 am to be exact
moaning with the pain
of the feelings inside.

once my skin touched yours
i got impregnated by
the smile of your laugh
and the coldness of your arm.

it was hurting beneath
the chest you kissed
near the freckles
you once loved.

now it is all gone,
your smell
your coldness
even the freckles
once you touched.

Disappearance of fondness is riveting within the imagination.

Nice poem.

This speaks to you... as a reader... the lines are forth coming... the thoughts of what was in your relationship... the way everything use to be... and the fall of how everything turned back to nothing... I did like the lines:

i got impregnated by
the smile of your laugh
and the coldness of your arm.
