What a terrible, wonderful, thing.

What a terrible, wonderful, thing.

A Poem by Rebecca_Rose
"

Just a poem I wrote straight from the heart and my real life.

"
Oh
What a terrible,
wonderful,
thing it is.

Entering uncharted territory,
Being undeniably vulnerable.
This thrill seems outlawry,
While our love is discernible.

Oh,
What a terrible,
wonderful,
thing it is.

When I'm a nightmarish blessing,
And patience is required.
I'm hooked, if you're guessing,
More amazed, with every hour.

Besides being "a many splendored thing," love can indeed be a terrible thing, if it's allowed to be. It is, as the poet notes, "uncharted territory," a state where the safety of control can be absent. It can bring to the surface both our best and worst qualities, of which the poet seems to be aware, given the caveat offered in the last verse. All I can say is good luck.

This is where you notice the "light" in a person's eyes and the aura they have.
