Far Away

Far Away

A Poem by schnickythep

Teardrops on the sidewalks
Mixing with the rain
No one knows you're crying
But you drive yourself insane
Feelin like you're lost
And there's nothing left to find
Gettin sick of losing
Cause you're losing your mind

Running round in circles getting nowhere
Looking for a sign to lift you up out of your grave
Living at the mercy of the pavement
And you know you weren't born just to be enslaved
But the stars are too far away

Thought you'd gotten better
Left your troubles when you ran
Dreams are dashed and now you've crashed
Back to where you began
And there's some kind of sickness
That's messing with your head
Whispers lies in your ear

Running round in circles getting nowhere
Looking for a sign to lift you up out of your grave
Living at the mercy of the pavement
And you know you weren't born just to be enslaved
But the stars are too far away

And no one ever cares enough
To help someone in need
Even when you're on the ground
All they do is watch you bleed
