Writer's Wednesday #23: Which One Are You

On my blog, I do an 'event' called Writer Wednesdays. I post a prompt and others(including me) write something based on that prompt.

A single light hung over the table in the small room, a circle of light illuminating the three men around the table.  Brom drummed his fingers on the table top before speaking, Vince and Wayne exchanging nervous glances.  Brom finally spoke.  "This is a really sensitive operation I run here... I can't have people with loose tongues running around."  He looked seriously between the two.  "But it would seem that my trust has been betrayed.  I didn't expect it honestly..."  He slowly stood.  "There's something you two should know about me, why I called you both here.  There are two types of people in this world: people who help me hide the body and people who are the body.  Good luck finding out which one you are."  He suddenly pulled out a handgun.

"No, wait-" Wayne started to say but a gunshot sounded, cutting him short.  Vince's neck snapped back as the bullet hit him between the eyes, and he fell backwards onto the floor with a thud.  Wayne stared at the body, wide-eyed, then back at Brom, breathing hard.

Brom slowly lowered the gun.  "Well now you know."
