Serendipity

Serendipity

A Poem by Scott Eckert
"

Love

"

Hundreds of steps, softly imprinted on the sand

Darkened gray storm clouds consume inner peace

Cold winter breezes erode cranium’s thunderbolts

Enigmas cocooned, hidden within thickened cobwebs.

Each footstep, not very exclusive to one’s journey

Many footprints have blessed the weathered sand

Removing pollutes, refreshing tempered winter breeze

Sheer blue sky washes the darkened gray sky away.

Many extended beach walks, but now, unaccompanied

A great place of solitude, a greater place of connection

Sea salt smell heals the wounds of the many wary crusades

Conch shell holds past secrets and speaks of serendipity.

I agree that beach time offers healing for the soul and mind.

Very nice. I like poetry that takes seemingly common events and illustrate them as the beautiful moments they truly are. Bravo.

We are often so enamored with the beauty of the beach until we never realize its history. Really beautiful!
