Emotionelle

Why do I disdain emotions so?

They seem only to get in my way,

I'm unable to let my thoughts go.

A frolicking boy quite long ago,

joys easily found throughout the day,

why do I disdain emotions so?

Along the way fear began to grow,

bolting at speed like some hunted prey

I'm unable to let my thoughts go.

Rarely easy to go with the flow,

it's a much greater challenge to stay.

Why do I disdain emotions so?

A love I didn't want to out grow,

lost in my shame it had to decay,

I'm unable to let my thoughts go.

Anger and sadness these I can show,

Because they'll keep people away.

Why do I disdain emotions so?

I'm unable to let my thoughts go.

Very relatable! I love it :) I love the lines "A love I didn't want to out grow,/ lost in my shame it had to decay.

Sad, but very real
