Destiny

Destiny

A Poem by Scyoni
"

Based on a character of mine, an old and long poem. Testing rhyming skills.

"

Run away, run away,
I won't listen to a thing you say.
Run away, run away,
from my true self every day.

I never knew before you came,
who I was, who I am
you closed all the doors then opened one,
you tell me, you told me...

Lord of shadows, reaps despair,
flying dark colours, shadows in the air.
He and his mistress, silver flame,
devide and conquer was their gme.

Empires rise like the sun,
but soon fall.
Before theirs did,
the mistress received the final call.

~

Then the moon came to take her place,
the mistress lost in death's embrace,
the perfect deception, it seemed to all,
but to the master did the veil fall.

The lord he saw through the guise,
but a strange thing came when he laid eyes,
love is a true mystery,
but to the goddess and the lord it would see.

Long ago, there was a tower up high,
around a thousand birds dancing in the sky,
the goddess held her lover dear,
as they always held each other near,

The laws of the highest were all too clear,
to a mortal the goddess could not be so near,
but a broken rule can be hidden by a lie,
and so she stayed rather than say goodbye.

~

Deception, disaster, are both intertwined,
at least so the lovers were now soon to find,
together too long, it's not hard to see,
what would eventually come to be.

Dark and light, together in love,
together in the children from above,
to the goddess was lost a peace of mind,
her secret would her mother come to find?

Though the options were few to her,
more were clear to lord, her lover,
darkness, darkness, in his soul,
his heart darker than the blackest coal.

The power of ages from the lords line,
to give it to his child to let him shine,
the other son must fall away,
to death be given forever to stay.

~

Disaster, disaster, befall the cursed,
to their empire befell the worst,
the lord fell alone into death,
the goddess to return to her home left.

The child remaining was sent away,
to live without love until the day,
his destiney found him lost and alone,
to find a friend, to find a home.

Six years pass, better than before,
after which the boy learns more,
the secrets kept from him until
they were told by his mother's will.

Child of shadows, child of light,
who are you really, which path is right?
your father a devil, your mother an angel,
but your destiny is on which level?

Run away, run away,
I won't listen to a thing you say.
Run away, run away,
from my true self every day.

I never knew before you came,
who I was, who I am
you closed all the doors then opened one,
you tell me, you told me...
I'm the son.

This one's a few years old, and it's free verse even though I tried to rhyme everything. xD Just for fun.
