Hamlet :A Tragic Tale

Hamlet :A Tragic Tale

A Poem by Sean M. Addams
"

My brief summary of Hamlet

"
He who wears the crown
Betrayal is what we fear
Power is the evil
King can no longer hear
Lost in death
Buried in shame
Look in the mirror
Hamlet is my name
Talking to my father’s ghost
Revenge is a double sword
Uncle is a traitor
Time to cut the cord
Mind is going crazy
With a skull in my hand
Love can make us blind
Lust flows through the land
Murdered hearts
Will ache and cry
Through this tragedy
They will all die
Poison ends the tale
With death and violence
Hamlet closes his eyes
The rest is silence

You got a great style in conveying stories. It pulls the reader in and takes them for the ride. Rhyming makes it smoother.
You are talented.

i agree with CLE you could make a mint selling this as the synopsis of Willy's moody tale. Students all over the world would praise you, not to mention enrich you, for this sublime bit of poetry.

This poem is much better than cliffs notes or a Wikipedia page. You capture the tragic tale...well, poetically if I must say. Old Will would give you a nod of approval. Very nicely done Sean. Thank you for sharing your poem.
