SHE!

SHE

Hides under the bed 

mending her wounds

Fears her own shadow on the walls

hiding under the covers

Never smiles at her teddy bear

sitting on her pillow

Wants to be held

but cries alone 

Can hear him calling

smiling at the soft seductive voice

Is hopeful 

waiting for him to take her

Wants the bleeding to stop

for him to hold out his hand

Asks to be taken away

some where free 

Wants away from the dark 

pleading with him

Stands alone

waiting for her angel 

Looks out the window

into the dark

Sees no light 

for there is none, never will be

Crawls deeper 

into her hole of hell 

Cries out at the pain

crushing her own heart

Dies before he comes

as he stands over her lifeless body

Couldn't wait any longer

he cries red tears, spreading his white wings encasing them together

Smiles at him

eyes never to open, heart to never heal...for he waited too long to come....

Thats just so sad. Makes one want to reach out and hold her, warm her feed her bring her back to life, a metaphor perhaps for the many who have felt abandoned as a child lost and lonely

A very interesting poem. It started with loneliness. I like how you added the poor Teddy bear on the bed. I could feel the emotion of giving up and desiring nothing. A sad ending to a very good poem. I like poem that lead me on a twisted journey. A outstanding poem.
