Mistress Sun

Mistress Sun

A Poem by Michael G. Smith
"

Love of sun filled days

"

Seductions, thus
O' my mistress sun
Warming so, is your sweet beauty
To our everyday love affair

But, in pursuit

Comes the wife of night
Envy that replaces you
Such a bitter heir; cold

But, to seek comfort evermore
I fall back, into arms of that Lady Luna
Merely, with moonlit traces left
Of  reminisce, amidst your afterglow
