Lantern SkiesA Poem by Michael G. Smith
Watching, the moon smiles wide
While Chinese lanterns lit night sky And worries broke free if just for awhile Flying high above, with their amber angels Yet, in the end it's the gravitational pulls Which returning to me are my daily struggles And the lights keep drifting on But, hope remains, still standing strong And that man in moon subtlety winks Or is it just another lantern's glow gone out of reach © 2020 Michael G.
