The Writing On the Wall

It's the end of an era and I wander,

Reminiscing 

Shedding light on my soul and I'm stunned by it all:

To reveal my own image

In the writing on the walls

Finally, I relish the image--

The mosaic of mistakes 

The stained-glass story of

pain, and frequently-in-love

[I love that I love that I love]

For better or beautiful-ugly

For those who do or don't see

The writing will continue to defy and define

That I'm just a star in the sky

Don't read between the lines

I wrote my darkness in a stellar light.
