Strings

Strings

A Poem by Pól

Torn between dimensions
one and ten,
these tangled threads
vibrate; a symetrical web
that binds the stars
with celestial dust.

Spinning and spinning
so fast
atop the multiverse
russet red, violent orange
a cacophoney of silence.

Here; the Nazi's vanquish the Allies
there, the dodos and dinosaurs together
build a bridge between large and small.

Lets celebrate these strings
and take our Ancestors to Africa
to ski.

Having taken a longish break from the cafe I had forgotten just how magically you weave words Paulo. This is a lovely appreciation of the way life is linked told in bold lines. African's skiing is a wonderful image with which to make the point right at the end.

Thank you J, & glad you enjoyed.
This is an engaging piece... I greatly admire such a poem. Taking our ancestors to Africa to ski is a curious line, (which I love. An awesome finishing line).

Thanks for the enjoyable read, paulo.

This was so nice poetry. Every time has two shades.... this was nice.

This touches on a theory I am interested in. Using "strings" to explain it's construct is excellent. Love the final stanza too :) Penny

HA! Absolutely, I agree with you there!
Wow, this is fantastic... such a web of words that lead to many thoughts and ideas... I can take this write to many places and one perhaps not ever reaching the full meaning of this piece...that is what i love about it! I will definitely have to visit more often in my strolls through poetry. Awesome work.

"russet red, violent orange

I just had to quote that for the magnificent image you painted there. Beautiful.
