I gave a dear person to the stars

A few months back, I lost a great man

The love of my life, my mother's father

He was an amazing man, he was my grandfather

My idol, my perfect man, I'm proud to be his granddaughter

I lost a great man... No, let me rephrase that, 

I didn't lose him, I gave him to the stars

And I didn't cry, because I know that he is okay

Somewhere safe, somewhere happy. 

And now he is up there, looking at me

Smiling to me, I hope that he is proud of me

When I gave him to the stars, I knew that he will always be watching me, guiding me

And I sit every night and speak to him

God knows every single day I pray to him

And I don't cry. Because I know that he is safe

 He deserves to be safe and happy

I hope that I'm not wrong, and that wherever my grandpa is, he is happy and proud

I gave a dear person to the stars, and I'll keep praying for him

Until my stars fall asleep, and I reunite with him.
