Escapist

Beyond these bars, there goes the land,

A plethora of landscapes yet to be seen

Sky high mountains, lush grassfields

So much to the world than it seems

Beyond these bars, there goes the sky

As a maelstrom of thoughts gather,

Head on the clouds, feet on the ground,

Every fiber of my being filled with hunger

Behind these bars, there goes my heart

In love with the world it has yet to touch

Caged like a bird, freedom is sought

To spread my wings, what a lovely thought
