Pouring Ink~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

He pours Braille into my cup

his story roams my taste buds

I sample his prose de jour on the inside of my cheeks

little pebbles of exotic spice

bursting open

I swallow metaphors in amber casings

nectar on the underbelly of a rose

a little note of edible wafer

opens

a garden between my ribs;

the violin purrs under my palm

printing music into the nimble joints of my fingers

He paints Braille the length of my spine

a double helix

music

I am a living Haiga

a sensate geisha

an ornate teapot in my hand

I pour my Braille into his teacup

our fingers brush

generating

a new language

This makes me think of a poem entitled, "Braille," by John Lee Clark:

"The world rests on my lap.
If my finger is the sky,
Then under it the fields prosper.
Row after perfect row of buds
Bid me gather all I can.
The harvest is food for thought."

He was born deaf and lost his sight when he was an adolescent.

It's extraordinary to think of how those who have sight go through life blind to all the beauty around them. Thankfully, you are not one of those individuals. You have the gift of making all things beautiful.

This is a poem that tells about human existence. The unquenching thirst for knowledge, the search for beauty, we are obsessed with. We are humans capable of many things and that explains why we nver runs out of things we are searching for.

Great poem
Please keep on writing
I got to learn lessons from you.

In a way, I feel that the size of the font detracts from the writing as a whole. I do like this poem though.

Very interesting, and defiantly had to read twice! (But that's meant in a good way lol) This poem in itself is an entire language that is beautifully written and feels mysterious to me. It's soo interesting, and different in a good way. Great job!! Thanks, and I'm sure you'll keep up the writing. :D

Wow! Wonderful! This poem uniquely thrills along the lines of the adventure of composition itself. Intimate, sublime, wild, playful, inspiring.

This synaesthetic feast is a spiritual orgasmotron. What's especially beautiful is how it sets the stage for continuation, for generating more. . .

I especially love poetics that reveals its own purpose, is wildly imaginative and critically astute simultaneously. I adore this.

An extraordinary brew of images... conveying the subtle lines of communication between poets who engage with each other like lovers... I loved the lines
