Little Cherry Blossom Contemplates Becoming A Pollen Seed~

Little Cherry Blossom Contemplates Becoming A Pollen Seed~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

Much like shell casings

Encasing rattling runes

Ruins of my bones fell in metal sparks to ground

Grounded in the soil

Soil spread a moist blanket

Blanketing a mystery taking root

Rooting beside a cherry tree in full dress

Dressing, cross stitching a weary mind

Minding its own addled thoughts

Thoughtful of earth pulling tiny tendrils from seed bones

Bones split open for the fertile womb

Womb of another song

Singing shapes with rain drops

Drops of sunshine penetrating a weary idol

Idolized by tiny earth worms congregating through the underleaves

Leave me not, love me not

Not like skin, not like pearls for a mystical girl

Girl shape in sprouts

Sprouting leaves

Leaving those shell casing bones under deep foliage

Foliage in the breeze, whispering

Whispering a new day

Days beside the cherry tree

Tree dressed in white flowers

Flowers brindled with runes

Runes filled with nectar

Nectar on a blue bird’s wings

Wings in flight

Flight spreads a story in pollen contrails

Contrails in the sky

Skylight speckled with dreams

Dreams on the see through roof of a old man in a peacoat

Coating his life in swirls of ink

Ink in his glass of wine

Wine the color of cherry blossoms

Blossoms of a mad girl dripping lovely mystery. . . .

I couldn't help but to think about growing up while reading this and how I had to contemplate becoming an adult and what that meant for me for the rest of my life. It is wonderful going through a transformation from one stage of life into the next unless it is the last stage of life of course. :) I like the style you chose for this write and is like a swirling thought from one into the next.

The loop is flawless. I don't think I've encountered this style in poetry before. If I did it wasn't memorable. Your creative use of the form is impressive. An easy blending from one line into another, creating a movement, a rhythm, that details the content. It's no wonder you have such a great number of readers.
By the way, your books came today. I'm going to savor each one and give each a well deserved review on Amazon.

Such vividly described perfection, I especially loved the
last line: "Blossoms of a mad girl dripping lovely mystery".

If I could taste these words, I think they would taste like a honeysuckle cherry swirl. The end of this piece gives me a picture of a poet sitting in a cherry orchard with high hope dreams of the girl his imagination has conspired as his one and only…Maybe how God conceived Lilith…

Great Write Selene!

fantastic loop! It's like a manic word association game played out in sign language. (I dunno)

Oh, I love this game you play with words. I was wondering when we'd get a taste of another. And this poem just reminds me of how sorry I am for the younger generations. With their minds consumed by reality tv pixels and war simulations, they will never recall memories like these. They will never think of anything worth musing over. How glad I am that we still have generations around who stop to smell cherry blossoms.

I love this style and you use it perfectly as you stitch each symbolic image , emotion by emotion .

Such a serene little tale of casting off the old and becoming something new to stretch and explore. The gentle japanese themes merging with sharp mentions of norse. Lovely as always
