Topography Of A Well Designed Geisha Who Held Onto Her Mantle Through The Fire~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

There is a face in this universe

My hands ache to explore

It’s not yours

With you, my fingers curl into a protective fist

Uncurl into a rhythm

Waiting for the day to be over

There is a body in this universe

My teeth need to penetrate to the thickest bones

It’s not yours

You’re too human

Easily distracted by a pair of pretty eyes

The sway of an ample apple bottom

There is a mind in this universe

Rich enough with organic chemicals to sate my agonizing thirst

It’s not yours

You fall too often to your knees

In front of ho hum gods

Your scent thick

with a coating of contrived reality

There is a thing in this universe

Who knows no peace, no contentment

It’s not you

You’re too easy

To please

With a lie

With a body made to mirror desires

Without feeling any

There is a face in this universe

Waiting for my hands

It’s not yours

What I long for within my heart of hearts, you will never be. I want to touch the moon and stars with my fingers and feel them caress my soul. You could never understand that because you cannot dream, you only see the reality of an ugly world and you are not for me........a beautiful confessional piece.

ahh I want that name! you are queen of the title's for sure!! another one I could have sworn I'd already reviewed - how very bizarre, I must be losing it! the face - it's there - beyond the stars somewhere - but it makes us wonder what face - if at all there is one - to be so far beyond the stars may make it a dream best reserved for the subconscious wonderings - the want of the unattainable - the humanity etc. though of course there may be a face lol I love the very flippant - "it's not yours..." at the end - dismissive!! lol

A beautiful portrait of a hidden and unexpressed strength lying within the heart of woman having to exist beneath the surface of a facade breaking free with the sound of her voice...

no one empowers better...

A to the (wo)men sister! I love the straight-forwardness of this. A nice, sharp slap to the face of a person who is clueless and quite undeserving. I feel exactly the same way, but could never express it with the humor & truth that you can.

So we yearn and year... always reaching for what we cannot grasp... Beautifully spun.

You manage to make disdain seem so elegant that one forgets the mock, and with such simple beauty.

I feel anger in these words, and a longer for something deeper and more meaningful...when reading I got caught up in the words and I felt like it was me saying these things. Powerful writing. Is "too human" mabye not human enough? Have many of us lost our true humanity?

one is held and then the reality forms...to know the desires within so as to find the desire...nicely written Selene

these words flow with a sense of poetic ambience that escape the page
in such magical ways, the reader can't help but fall into the rhythm,
the vision of a confession set to a backdrop of becoming, sincerely
metaphorical and brilliant. And a pleasure to read :)

This one is laced with the venom of a viper. Simple yet stunning. Scorn is all its grandeur. He couldn't be. How could he? Glad it finally dawns on him.
