Silent Prayer

Silent Prayer

A Poem by S.A. Kurzweil
"

A child who finds faith and strength. Completed 2012.

"
Young siblings and stolen virtues
Affection smothered with filth and fist
No such thing should one ever know
Nor the bruises on your wrist

Shackles of indignation slaving purity
That unseen line from divine
His eyes choke away the child inside
Over hoarse voices, hear mine

Subtle warmth will quietly carry you
All through the fight and fright
Take my hand, we'll hide away
To the end of this broken night

Save your tears my dear
I know that you are afraid
Temporary is this fear
But cherished bonds are being made

In my arms, sit and pray
I'll carry your message day after day
You're loved child, you're loved
By your side I'll be all the way

I'm sensing abuse, and then salvation through prayer. I liked this!

Thank you!
you paint a picture of strength found in weakness, 'in my arms sit and pray. . . you're loved child, you're loved'
