Tears of A Broken Heart

The lies he told

Took their hold

My tears flowed

Away he rode

Into the night

Like I thought he might.

Even though I knew

The pain still grew.

My heart was broken

He took the pieces

As a token.

To remind himself

Of the pain he caused

He didn't care

Didn't even pause.
