Grandma Love

Grandma Love

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

As I lay down and go back down my memory lane,
I feel your hugs and love when I was in pain,
I go further down through the yesteryears,
Our conversations still ring through my ears,
You cooked only the recipes that you know I loved,
I was always in your prayers and thoughts as beloved,
You knew my life, my journey through in and out,
You stood by me from start and throughout,
You were not just any grandma, but more of mom,
But now I see you lay there still, motionless and calm,
I have lost one heart that was ever beating for me,
The person whom I loved; I will never see,
I forever cherish and will keep you close to my heart,
Your memories shall stay and will never part...

Grandmom's are another mom and I was blessed with the best one, whose journey came to an end ...

To walk along the shore, leaving behind the footprints for the sea waves to tickle, the cool water washing your legs as you walk by, gentle breeze whiffing your cheek and mildly wavering .. more..
