Lecture

Lecture

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

Faculty was standing in the front,

Wondering how to control, with a soft grunt,
Students were all present,
Seated in a neatly arranged row,
With noises ranging high and low,
There were lots of contents to sow,
In which the students were
Expected to learn and grow...

Students were sitting restless,
Looking at their watch, waiting
When they’ll get break,
To have coffee and a hot cup cake,
There was so much to cover in each topic,
Students found listening to it was so hectic,
Everything was ordered and carried in a structure,
But yet, awful and boring was this long lecture….

Oh, I've sat through more lectures than I care to remember! You've captured that sense of anxiety, stress, waiting, and even moments of learning... we hope! Loved your write and the image was excellent as well!

Most lectures are so drab; though a great professor can keep one focused.
Fun write!
