2012 December Doomsday?????

2012 December Doomsday?????

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)
"

We are sure that world wont end so soon in 2012, but lets give this hoax talk a chance to unite the people all over the world and bring under one roof "EARTHIANS"

"

The new planet is found,

Which leaves the researchers astound,
Should we believe that it’s nearing us?
And finally, going to kill our earth without any fuss?

Is it that we are going to die?
Or just think it’s another lie?
No matter what,
Lets give it a thought.

Where from did this planet come?
Ignorant without knowing, there are some,
They say its steadily coming towards earth,
Our evidence is just merely dearth.

Will our earth stop revolving for a week?
If its so, our condition will be bleak,
Is the government not ready to tell it out?
Or is it that they themselves are in doubt?

If at all, its true, should we die in hate?
If we still don’t realize, it will be too late,
We are children of our mother earth,
Though we are not siblings by birth.

Lets join hands to face our last date,
If at all its true and written in our fate,
Lets make plans to save our selves,
And put our hatred in backyard shelves.

What if tsunami, volcano, earthquake strike our lands?
Still lets not give up our hope and stay holding hands!
If it’s our doomsday, and God plans to end it up,
Lets pray and with peace, from our earth windup.

If still we survive after the expected day,
Lets rejoice, partying with laughter and gay,
Forgetting not, that we are one,
Humans as enemies let there be none.

Lets shred our skin as
Americans, Australians, Africans…Indians,
Let's join hands as nationalities of our mother EARTH
And call us as “EARTHians"

I am an EARTHIAN and a CHANGEMAKER! Along with a lot more things that I am. :))

I think what you wanted to see is the unity in acting upon to what we claim that we are. I can say that you sent out the message well enough and I commend you for that. For technicals though, I found some parts really clunky but can be overlooked if seen in depth. Some lines are too lengthy...but the flow is good. :D

Job well done!

Shalini, this is a great ambassadorial type poem which helps spread the fellowship of all men around the world. We must share the love you have expressed in your poem toward all people regardless of race color or creed. A warm and tender expression of people loving people. Great. Lynn

I liked the idea behind this poem of yours. the message you wanted to send across was a good one, but I think you could have conveyed it with more accentuation.

I'm for that! YESSS!

Your poem really does say it all and puts across your feelings and thoughts very clearly and sincerely.

'If at all, its true, should we die in hate?
If we still don’t realize, it will be too late,
We are children of our mother earth,
Though we are not siblings by birth.'

The stanza above says just about everything that needs to be said
