Our Daughter's Wedding....

Our Daughter's Wedding....

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

Our Daughter’s Wedding:

The day has come that we’d dreamed all our life,

To see her standing next to a man as his wife,

We couldn’t believe that days had gone too fast,

We sit here thinking of the days right from the past.

It holds much more than anything, but our heart,

She’ll always be our daughter, our little sweetheart,

Time has come to get her married to a lovable man,

Her life will be fine, for this is not ours but God’s plan.

Since she was a little girl, we guided all her way,

Now she’d grown and its time for her big day,

We are really glad to invite you to this big event,

Hope you would come to bless to our heart’s content.

This is full of sweet nostalgia and real love, I really enjoyeed reading this piece. The kind of poem that puts a smile on the reader's face. As I'm sure your parents had a smile on their faces everytime they'd see you in your big day. :)
