A Beautiful Tapestry

A Beautiful Tapestry

A Poem by ShameemAkhtar

Words dance
On my pad
Stirring up
Their innocence

They spray about
Shapes so odd
Stick to the paper
And refuse to let go

They assemble in groups
And some drops get sprayed
And the words become a line

Wonderful

Maybe that’s what we call
Inspiration.

A thought from above

An assembly of letters
Characters
An Indian line of words
Rushing towards a point
In haste to fully stop.

Inspired inspiration

My muse
And I remain
Bemused

Until

I read

Scattered around
Them semblance of chef-d’oeuvre*

Perspired inspiration
That transpired
Inspired perspiration…

My head drops
The music stops

Scattered around
The embroidery
Of my unique tapestry

Were no more

Than a line of garbled nonsense

chef-d’oeuvre: Master piece

@ Christian, this is what you feel about some of my poems I would think... :)

One of my weaker poems for sure but which I like because it reminds me how at times I take my pen (or keyboard) and feel the need to write, but cannot come up with anything. And if I manage to scribble anything, it is nothing but some verbal diarrhea.

:)

A inspiration rises from the source of our mysteries and like a dream, sometimes points at something. Where we pursue it, we might find great rewards of discovery. Nothing is too small or unimportant. In aspiring, we do not already know, but open ourselves to discover.

i feel the same way , i usually write because it is the only way i can express myself clearly and sometimes that comes either rushed or a knot of ideas and words all in one paper !:) great write though (:

Insperation can arise from anyware. When I experaince writers block I just with with pen in hand and start to write about the most mundane of things, before I know Im revising it and re working it all together and, wow, I've got a poem. But that doesn't always work either. None the less You have stated that very well here, better than a similar piece I wrote entiteld "Write About What"... Well Done...

Dear ShameemAkhtar,

I actually think this a good poem, one of the best I have read of your work. It's nice that I can find a poem about inspiration. You have described it fairly well. This is my favorite line, "They spray about
Shapes so odd
Stick to the paper
And refuse to let go"

Thank you for sharing.

Sincerely Livana Lowell (LL)

God bless

Hahahaha I looooved this! Had to read it twice to actually get it ;) Very creative, it's exactly how I feel when I write sometimes.

This is unique. I really dig the underlying message in this piece. I do this all the time writing poetry and songs. You just can't force inspiration... it's something you gotta grab and use it up quick before it escapes you. Bravo.

As Neva said, but the write was a good way to look at oneself and absorb what it is we do... enjoyed it actually

I understand this wonderful piece. I call it wordweaving myself. I weave words together to create a tapestry. Sometimes I don't understand my own writing but I go with anyway in hopes that someone will interpret it :)
