Key to my Mind

I can dig the keys

Deep into my wrists

And feel no pain

 

The red oozes and drips to the floor

Faint of heart and weak in the knees

There is no pain of the physical.

 

Only of the Mind

My mind is dying, emotions soar

Souls cringe as my senses scream.

 

This is where my pain lies.

 

Pain of the heart

Pain of the mind

Pain of the soul

 

Corse binding wrap around my neck,

Flimsy boards beneath

Send my knees into an uproar of shaking

 

3..2..1

 

And the Boards fall away….

 

Release the mind of the body

                      And pain is no more.
