I would never have learned to fly

I would never have learned to fly

A Poem by ShaunMosley

If never I had the chance to watch the light

dancing as it does in its emerald cast

and to have been pulled inside...

was to never before witness that which the blind doth dream

and those without hearing, hum along on lips perched in eternal kisses

for to never reach for the highest star is to relinquish one's eternity to the heights acclaimed by only those who have never been pushed higher by someone else

and strive ever forward to that perfect place of peace that can only be found in that other heart, in that other place, so far above what here on earth we have,

and atop the word I danced in that emerald cast if for only a moment with one who brought me to heights I never before dared to dance upon

and with wings we soared a million miles above glittering fragments of life and light that reflected as dreams

to dance where only few dare to dream, was a dream, and I the greater for having found the tune, even though my feet were slow and clumsy,

a million miles above the earth, dancing in the emerald field, you took my hand and pulled me up, and tho weary I followed, eagerly if just your fingertips to touch

I would have never learned to fly

I have read two of your poems so far, and both had a lovely, lyrical quality to them. The only thing I could suggest (if you are looking to revise, though there is no need to) is to try tying into specific concrete images. This is a general rule of thumb I have found from writing classes, but in this case I think your sort of obscure writing style matches the topic.
