i once was whole

i once was whole

A Poem by sheerpoetry

 waY back when

when you left town

the black skies and grey clouds did make me drown

how heavy and soaking the rain did come down

how heavy the rain

and how ripping the wind

to blow away my sole and make me partial again

insecurities grew out of the festering flood

questioning my being right dow n to the blood

how on earth does one recover

from a hurricaine  of the heart

when no rescue mission is permitted to start

or tread the desheviled path to my core

where a civilized love does live no more

where a civilized love does live no more

a broken and barren flooded out shell

screams for life and this story will tell

I ONCE WAS WHOLE

and full of life

i lived

my name called beloved wife

until you shockingly retracted my security

alone

you left me

and never again

will i be

the flourishing bride you gave your family name

to let the world know you and i were the same

you and i were the same

you and i were the same

way back when before you left town

and the black skies

and grey clouds did make me drown
