Time That Could Travel

 

I wish that time could travel me

To places and memories that used to be.

Times I loved and people I knew

Could it bring me back to you?

 

Remember as kids when we got to do over

The relief of new chances to recover

When time was forever and days were so long

We dreamed only of friends and play in the sun.

 

I’ve often thought if I had a chance

Which day would I choose, which path would I dance

Would I waste precious minutes trying to change

Mistakes that I’d made or plans I delayed.

 

As a matter of fact after all considerations

Travel for me would be one destination

One time I loved, one person I knew

Time travel would bring me back to you.

Very nice and eloquently put. It's almost a throwback to the Renaissance with how fairytale and fantasy your stanzas are. Very old spirited and romantic in style. It's dope.
