Faux Bond

Faux Bond

A Poem by Sylver Marcus

i felt it shoot through me

didnt you feel it too?

as i wondered through the halls

blankly staring throughout school

i pondered the idea of "us"

in history and math

the thought was thick and foggy

but i sought a clearer path

as our friendship forged a mold

and intertwined our lives

our heads and minds

surely became defined

we brought our courage together

and spoke like mature adults

effortlessly breaking apart

from our bound cult

it was nothing really you see

just a cult of you and me

something we brought together

in terms of us forever

but your true colors broke free

as i struggled to fall for yuor play

and im proud to be single and free

to be able and explore the world today

because of my ability to do justice

for people who didnt have the courage

i was able to break our feax bond

and let it creep away....

It's a story almost. From friendship to courtship to breakup. All explained in a short space with emotion. Great work. Keep it up!

"yuor play" - pls correct the spelling here.
