Even when you're gone

It's a poem randomly written thinking about the night and someone dear...

Even when you’re gone…

 

Below the night sky,

Away from the city lights,

It’s cold and dark outside.

The cool breeze washing my face,

Making my hair sway to its tune.

The splashing water ringing,

Like music notes resounding in my head.

But above all,

It is peacefully quiet.

The moonlight dances on the

Waves in the sea.

And the stars twinkling,

Telling their own story.

Ah! It is so tantalizing.

This night sky is breath taking.

 

It is perfect night,

For me to write.

To pick up my pen,

And ink those empty pages.

To shape my thoughts,

To pour my heart.

And once again,

Bare my soul

To the readers who await.

To present the world

A poetry of which it knows not…

 

This night reminds me

Of the black of your hair.

And the dazzling moonlight,

Of your glowing visage.

The calm of tonight,

Of your beautiful quiet smiles…

 

But, I must confess,

Or else, it may be injustice

To thou whose glory shall not fade…

 

That this night,

Would not last.

In front of your beauty,

That lives eternal in my heart.

 

Unrivalled and Pure,

It lives on,

Even when you’re gone…

The sentiment in this is tangible... It's beautifully written and described. The night and romance always suit each other so well and I never tire of those sorts of comparisons. I love every word of this, and can identify so well with it too... This may even be my favourite of yours yet! But you'll keep going and keep improving yourself even more, right? Very good work. :)

this is a beautiful homage to one that is loved - time and space mean nothing to the writer when their darling is on their mind. Very romantic poetry - love it.
